Dear Friends,

The organizing committee of the “30 th Annual Conference of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India : AROICON 2008” invites you to the annual conference to be held in Mumbai from the 27 th to 30 th November 2008 (Thursday to Sunday) .

We wish to celebrate the 30 th anniversary of AROI with an excellent scientific meeting aimed at “Reflecting the past, Dissecting the present, & Plan for the Future of Radiation Oncology in India ” . It's our pleasure to have our colleagues from “Medical Physics” to join us for the scientific sessions. This is for the first time that a full day has been dedicated to a joint AROI-AMPI meet.

The scientific program has been designed to cover a wide spectrum ranging from cutting edge technology to palliative care and from biology to epidemiology & statistics. We have tried to keep a balance between invited talks and proffered papers for students & colleagues from all over the country to discuss their scientific work. Poster presentations will be discussed by experts during the poster sessions & as virtual posters. Disease specific symposia's would address important issues. Panel discussions & debates are expected to make the sessions interactive. It has been our endeavor to keep parallel sessions to the minimum so that you do not miss out on important sessions. As a tradition, the ICRO teaching program has been themed. This year the theme is “Pediatric Oncology”. All are welcome to attend & participate. With Orations, Keynote lectures, & Plenary talks by eminent personalities, and a well thought out scientific program we are looking forward to an enriching & enjoyable scientific feast.

Apart from the scientific content, we are also looking forward to spending a wonderful time with friends, colleagues, and families form all over the country and abroad.
